Discover Downtown Chambersburg

3rd Annual Ice Cream Contest

We had over 200 entries from K-5th graders in the area.  Their task-make the most interesting and delicious sundae from the list of ingredients provided by the Ice Cream Station.  They all needed to include a drawing of their creation, a name for the sundae and what they would put on it.  We narrowed the field to 6 finalists that were invited to the Ice Cream Station during the Taste of the Arts event Friday night to make their creations.  Mike K, the owner, chose a winner from those 6.  That sundae is added to their menu for the month of May.

The six finalist were:

Lee Garman (kindergarten at Coldbrook)  Lee’s Launchpad Explosion

Casey Kauffman (1rst grader at Hamilton Heights Chambersburg “Choo-Choo” Crunch

Tyson Horner (2nd grader at Marion Elementary Ice Cream Supreme

Abigail Price (3rd grader from Ben Chambers)**WINNER Chunky Chocolate P. B. & J.
