Christmas Lights
This project, our holiday contribution to the community, brightens the downtown with thousands of white lights in the trees lining Main Street. Many volunteers give generously of their time to repair and hang the lights each year. The "Lights of Tribute" is a new program that promotes sponsorship of a lighted tree in honor or memory of someone special. The trees are marked with an embossed ribbon to designate the honoree: ribbons remain in place from the Christmas Parade through IceFest, a mid-winter festival held downtown in late January. Monies raised go toward the upkeep and repair of the lights.

A Taste of the Arts in Downtown Chambersburg  The First Friday in May   A Taste of the Arts kicks off the First Fridays Downtown series. Free entertainment, extended hours at shops and restaurants, in-store specials. 

First Fridays First Friday of the month June-December      A spin-off from A Taste of the Arts, stroll the streets of downtown Chambersburg the First Friday of every month.  Enjoy in-store specials, refreshments, artists, kids activities and musical entertainment.  5-8 pm...sponsored by local downtown merchants. October - December artists are moved in doors.

CELEBRATE! The Arts At Old Market Day                              Saturday, July 17, 2010, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm  More than two hundred craft and food vendors line Main Street and Lincoln Way for this celebration, held annually the 3rd Saturday of July as part of ChambersFest. Entertainment is provided at 3 sites, and skilled craftspeople demonstrate their skills! Downtown Business Sidewalk Sales are held annually on the third Friday and Saturday of July.

AppleFest                                                                                            Saturday, October 16, 2010  This event celebrates the main crop of South Central PA, with craft and food vendors along Main Street and Lincoln Way, and entertainment at the Courthouse Plaza. Apple related products, services, and contests are featured for this family-friendly fall festival, held the 3rd Saturday of October.
